Warfare refers to a violent conflict between 2 or more opposing states.
Ancient Weapons
The first weapons used by ancient humans in warfare where sharp rocks. The first recorded warfare (or first large warfare ever recorded) is the Battle of Megiddo.
Composite bows were used in the battle as well as the first body count, according to historians. It had a left such a lasting impact on the people in the era, leading to rumors the final battle will be held there. The
word "Armegeddon" is the Greek word of Megiddo (derived from the Hebrew Har Megiddo) and came to mean the "end of times".
The Ancient Greeks have one of the best armies in the ancient world. The term of their military is called
Hoplites. The armies utilized heavy armor, bronze helmets and greaves, a bronze breastplace and a leather
curiass. The hoplon, a large circular shield, is their main defense. The weaponry involves a long spear called
doru and a short sword called
xiphos.

Just like a battle is a part of war, tactic refers to a single plan alone or part of a grand strategic plan. Strategy is more of a long-term planning on how to win a warfare compared to tactics which is more short-term
or local planning.
